Brett Piper's newest is also one of E.I. Cinema's best movies to date. The premise is that a crate of bio-engineered marijuana winds up at a strip club called Go-go-saurus. The club is surrounded by these huge dinosaur statues, which were built by the previous tenant, the foremost among them being this towering Godzilla, which reminded me of that replica of the big G in GODZILLA VS. GIGAN. But along with the pot comes these weird, spider-looking creatures that feed on human blood.A female bartender is the first one attacked by the bugs-and as a result starts behaving out-of-character. Their bite makes the victims act the opposite of how they are. Because she liked men she now has a thing for women-and this gives the movie its obligatory lesbian scene, I think a staple in every E.I. Production.A renegade, crazy DEA agent (John Fedele), who is on the trail of the crate of funky marijuana ends up transforming into this nasty, insectoid creature, which is done with stop-motion-animation. It is a cool sequence and wouldn't have the same affect if done with CGI. Fedele's performance as the agent is hilarious. The club's three strippers, Crystal, Trix and Amber, are the heroines of the story-and actor Rob Monkiewicz, a regular in the last few Brett Piper movies, is the not-so-bright exterminator. His bug spray makes the creatures radically grow in size.BITE ME! is a fun, enjoyable movie that reminds me of those cheesy bug movies from the 1950's.For more information go to www.eicinema.com
