Bog People is a boring zombie movie. An archeologist recruits a group of college kids to dig up some preserved bodies from an ancient bog to prove his theories that they belonged to a cult of Berserker Vikings. Although he's proved right, they also awaken the creatures, who are people covered in mossy burlap and don't move like dead people at all. The group discovers a survivor from a previous expedition, a woman who seems to be comatose (Debbie Rochon). She turns out to be a leader of the cult and the others must stop her before she can take over the world with her dead army. Incidently, Debbie is the best thing about this movie--a very good performance--but, alas, she cannot save the film. The screenplay for this movie, written by the director, the DP and the other producer, just sucks. Very sloppy, trying to be hip and coming off like PORKYS meets the zombies. It's bogged down in stupidity.
