This is one that I was excited about seeing a while back when it was in its early stages of development. As it progressed, I found myself wanting to see it less and less. Don't know why... just the way it was. So, I waited and waited and then finally found myself sitting down to watch this... fully prepared to rip the dvd out of the player and slit my wrists with it. Well, the bullshit was all for naught as this one turned out to be pretty damn good. I mean... you have Bruce Campbell playing an aging and impotent Elvis who is living in a nursing home down south.. hanging out with an elderly black man who thinks he is JFK. If that is not a winning combination.. what is I ask you? If that is not enough to get it done for you... then in comes a mummy with an anal soul sucking fetish. With that said, this flick did not have alot of gore and any great special effects going for it.. but it had some pretty funny dialogue. Whether you like Elvis, you just like making fun of him... or you want some good laughs, this is a must see. A fun horror flick with a silly enough story, it was almost believable. Almost.. but I am just thinking with sand.
