There was a lot of hype about this movie before it hit theatres, all saying that it was one of the best horror movies of 2003, that it was scary and disturbing. Well, it's a HUGE disappointment, just another formula movie. A group of college students go on a trip to a cabin for a week. There's the 'cool guy' 'the nerd' and 'the thug' along with two babes who wouldn't be with any of these guys. They encounter weird redneck characters at the rural grocery store and then a guy near their cabin, who has somehow contracted a rapid flesh-eating virus. Well, they kill him, he contaminates the drinking water and one by one they start to die off. But there's no suspense whatsoever, and no feeling of dread. The characters are so unlikeable that you don't give a crap when they start melting away. And the ending is blatantly stolen from NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, with the survivor getting shot by those dang rednecks. NOT a recommendation.
