Low budget fun that's strange, but strangely enticing. Some of the plot elements I was a little fuzzy on, but here's what I gathered. A teen that is wrongly accused by a town full of goofs for burning up his parents gets attacked one night by a bigfoot-like creature. After the attack, he becomes an infected carrier. Any and everything he touches leaves behind something that makes other people dissolve if they come in contact with it. The town of Sleepy Rock goes into a panic. People die instantly and often in this one. The townsfolk soon are fighting each other, not sure who the carrier is, turning on one another. In the movie's funniest moment, they begin to use cats to test what has been infected and what has not. The goobers divide into two factions and both sides roam the town on a cat hunt. Never seen so much pussy used that way or gone to waste, but there's a first time for everything I suppose... damn! Poor kitty's aside, The Carrier is just different enough to be fun and worth the time. A Bigfoot, dissolving people, pussy whippings, I mean that's a pretty good mix in my book. The townies even wage war on each other by film's end. What a mess, I mean in a good way of course.
