I normally don't care for shows about lawyers but this is different enough to make it interesting. It is about a law firm in L.A in the year 2030 and they deal with legal situations that don't even exist yet, such as human cloning and artificially increased intelligence. In one of the episodes a teenaged girl wants to sue her parents for having a tracking device implanted on her (like when you chip a pet). It's original purpose was to keep her safe but they use it to spy on her. In another, a child actor is debating to undergo a procedure that will retard his growth and enable him to look young for years to come, so he can maintain his career.
The show has a great cast. Nestor Carbonell (LOST, Bat Manuel from THE TICK) is one of the lawyers, as is Kristin Lehman as a genetically modified human named Lee May Bristol. It also stars Ioan Gruffud (FANTASTIC FOUR) and Hector Elizondo. The most entertaining character is Darwin McNeil, who is such a pain in the ass to deal with he can't keep any assistants for more than a few weeks. In fact, all of his ex-assistants get together and decide to sue him for psychological abuse. The solution the firm comes up with is to forbid Darwin from hiring anyone else. They give him a computer holographic system instead.
I think this show was ahead of its time. It's very plausible science-fiction.
