In the near future, in which the Earth is dying, a group of scientists are trying to find a way to revitalize the plant life. One of them keeps on going out into the surrounding area without his protective suit and this makes him sick. In fact, he continues to grow ill until one day the others find him encased in a chrysalis. There's lots of debate as to what this means and they are afraid he may emerge as some type of dangerous creature. What he ultimately transforms into and what he can do is surprising and it's a good payoff. But I found the movie about an hour too long. Because everything basically takes place in a few different rooms I felt like I was watching an extended episode of MONSTERS or TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE.
