This supernatural thriller starring Gorin Visjnic (ER) as a therapist with psychic powers. At the beginning of the film we see him hypnotizing a client to stop smoking-and then being paid cash for the service. We quickly find out that he, his wife and child recently moved to England to get away from the psychic stigma-and the bad experience he had with it-in the States. They are trying to have a new beginning.Yet someone finds out who he is and manages to convince him to help a young girl who had escaped from her kidnapper, a man who is presumably a serial-killer of children. She's the first one to have gotten away, yet is mute, unable to tell anyone what she's seen. Visjnic does find out what happened to her and it's not the doings of your regular run of the mill psycho. It has to do with the supernatural and the ability to transfer one soul into the body of another. CLOSE YOUR EYES isn't a bad movie. It simply tries too hard to be like THE RING when it only succeeds in coming off like a Lifetime cable movie.
