The President of the United States (Bruce Boxleitner) is shot with a dart contaminated with a new, deadlier strain of the dreaded Ebola virus. He's taken to a nearby hospital, as is an expert virologist (Megan Gallagher of MILLENIUM), who has to find a cure for the disease. The terrorists want one-hundred million dollars deposited into their Swiss bank account or they'll let the President die. To prove that they have a cure, they've left several vials of a temporary antidote hidden throughout the hospital. Soon, some of the people directly exposed to the disease start dying. Then, the worst happens-it becomes airborne. The scientist is in a race against time to find a cure, yet the only way a cure can be made is from the blood of someone who was already exposed to-and survived-the Ebola virus. Is this asking too much? Other than an extremely unlikely coincidence at the end of the movie, the story had me hooked and there's good chemistry between stars Boxleitner and Gallagher.
