Adam Baldwin (MY BODYGUARD, X-FILES) portrays an insurance salesman who is nearly killed by a man who starts shooting people in his office. Just before the man is about to blow his brains out the man says his name-and is shot by a security guard. But Baldwin had never met the man before. He goes home, somewhat in a daze, and explains everything to his understanding wife, Elizabeth Berkley (SHOW GIRLS). She tells him to take the day off and recuperate. The next day he starts hearing voices telling him to kill his wife with a shotgun. He even has dreams in which he murders her. Is he going schizophrenic? Or is somebody trying to control his mind?It turns out to be the latter-a government agency who is randomly using him as a test subject for their mind control experiments. When he gets a computer CD in the mail from the guy who tried to kill him he goes to investigate, by going to the guy's apartment. There is finds a bunch of high tech computer equipment and lots of recordings that the guy left. One of the people in the apartment building (Tony Todd) tells him that they're being used for mind control experiments-and gives him a copper lined baseball hat to wear, explaining that it will block the control rays. But how will they stop the experiments? There are a few decent twists along the way. This was an interesting movie, reminding me a bit of John Carpenter's THEY LIVE, with the mind-control story.
