Coraline and her family have moved to an old house in the country and she's bored. Her
parents are crabby and too busy to give her much attention, so she starts exploring the neighborhood and meets a boy named Wybie. They become friends and he gives her a doll he found--a doll which looks exactly like her.
Coraline finds a small door in her room and when she crawls through it comes to a world where her parents are happy to see her. The one thing different about them is that they have buttons instead of eyes--and they soon want to replace her eyes with buttons as well, something she definitely doesn't want. However, things quickly become much more sinister and she finds out the truth about her "other mother" in this weird dimension.
There's lots of weirdness going on and some creepy images, such as all the humans with buttons for eyes. However, I started to get bored after a while. I thought CORALINE just "okay".
