Movie Review by The Gravedigger

This is one of the more hilarious horror spoofs in recent years, about giant spiders invading Los Angeles. When the movie starts off with a giant rubber tarantula (like the kind you can buy at a Halloween Story) destroying a fake miniature city, being fired upon by miniature helicopters & eventually crashes into the Hollywood sign, you immediately know what to expect the remainder of the movie.
The spiders seem to be a part of some biological weapons experiment and in two separate instances their containers get opened. Some of them look like regular tarantulas, some are computer generated, but my favorites are the ones who are intelligent and look like the Zanti aliens from that old OUTER LIMITS EPISODE, "The Zanti Misfits". When they escape from their container to find themselves in a music studio they say something like "We were forced to listen to bad cover bands for weeks-kill the humans!".
This is an extremely ambitious movie, a modern version of a 50's giant monster flick that works. CREEPIES could indeed be legitimate sequel to THE GIANT SPIDER INVASION.
Directed by Jeff Leroy
Produced by the infamous David Sterling
