This last of the three movies made after the series is also the best. It manages to capture the feeling of the Bill Bixby show and brings the saga to an end.At first we see David Banner working as a janitor at a high security science lab and he seems to be mentally impaired. But this is all an act he's put on in order to gain access to one of the scientist's experiments which involves making humans stronger. He's eventually uncovered by that scientist. After he explains who he is and why he's here the older man agrees to help him find a cure for the Hulk. But a secrect Russian agency wants to obtain the scientist's secrets and send a reluctant agent (Elizabeth Gracen of THE RAVEN: HIGHLANDER) in to steal the information. Unfortunately her break-in coincides with Banner undergoing the curative treatment and a fire breaks out. Banner, strapped in a chair, turns into the HULK and escapes. Banner is later captured by the Russians. They want to eliminate that Russian agent but Banner interferes and they manage to escape to a hidden log cabin in the mountains. They stay there and get to know each other quite a bit better. Both are fugitives, both wanting to escape their past.In the end the Hulk climbs aboard a plane that the bad Russian agents are trying to escape in and it explodes, hurtling him hundreds of feet to the ground. He crashes into the concrete runway. A crowd of people rush around him and he transforms back into Banner--and he's dead, finally at peace.
