College student Holly, along with four other young adults including her filmmaker friend, go to Russia to document their journey to the Dyatlov Pass. Over fifty years earlier a group of Russian skiers mysteriously died and the weirdness of it still remains a mystery. She wants to solve that mystery. In fact, she has nightmares about it, including finding a secret door. Then strange things begin to happen, such as the huge human-like footprints that appear around their tents. These footprints randomly appear, leaving no sort of trail. What is making them? A yeti?
Once at the pass they do discover a secret entrance to some facility built into the side of the mountain --and they must enter it after some Russians begin shooting at them. What they find within is an old laboratory, dating back to WWII--and some of the experiments are still alive and extremely dangerous. Let's just say it ties into the Philadelphia Experiment.
