The first horror film Price completed in the 60's without the aid of Corman or AIP. He plays the role of Simon Cordier, a well-respected magistrate and sculptor, who visits a prisoner by the name of Louis Girot, a man condemned to die under the conviction of murder. Girot claims he was influenced by a demonic force known as the Horla. After the death of Girot during his attack on Cordier, the evil spirit has no choice but to select a new host; the judge himself. Much to his reluctance, Cordier is driven to murder. I highly recommend this title, as Price depicts a character torn between upholding his values and the evil force within - certainly a role he excels most at.
