DISTURBIA is a teen version of Hitchcock's REAR WINDOW. Shia Labeouff (TRANSFORMERS) is a teenager under house arrest after he attacks one of his high school teachers (the guy deserved it, though). His mother (Carrie Anne Moss) is also taking away his cable and computer priveleges. Bored out of his mind, he starts to spy upon his next door neighbors. There's the beautiful girl (Sarah Roemer) who just moved in next door. And then there's Mr Turner (David Morse), who may be a serial killer.
He tries to tell the police this but it's a case of 'The boy who cried wolf'.
DISTURBIA quickly moves along with no surprises whatsoever. It's Hollywood at its paint-by-numbers method at best.
