Hands down, this is the best werewolf movie to come along in years! A group of UK soldiers, on training in the Scottish Highlands, comes across another group of soldiers--Special Ops--who are all but slaughtered. The only surviving member is their leader, who is hysterical and keeps on mumbling 'There should've only been one, there should've only been one of them!'. We soon find out that he's referring to these ferocious looking werewolves. The soldiers start running and become the hunted. One man is disembowled but his friend tucks his spilled guts back in --and a few others are killed. They eventually make their way to a seemingly abandoned house and board themselves in. At this point it's sort of like a repeat of NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD but there's still enough action to keep you distracted from this. And the werewolves are impressive--tall like the creatures in the original THE HOWLING, with wolf-like heads, hairless human bodies, huge clawed hands. The twist ending is not totally unexpected but you don't really mind.
