The short movie does a great job of effectively telling a simple tale and building some decent suspense. A mad scientist turns monkey into a man with surgery, whippings, and drugs. Now, the first time you see this cat you know something doesn't look quite right. He still has an ape-like appearance, but seems like a quiet, shy fellow and is well behaved enough. Things go foul though when the Doc's lovely daughter shows up and the gorilla hormones start raging again. The docile fellow goes ape and murders begin, by the end of the movie this mutated mad monkey has killed off damn near the whole cast, even saving the daughter from a kidnapping attempt. It's a sad commentary on humanity when the guy says he was actually happier as an ape. This one kinda reminded me of Island of Lost Souls and The Island of Dr. Moreau. Pretty good stuff!
