A young woman and her verbally abusive father, while cleaning up an old house he recently purchased, encounter demons that have taken refuge in that building's pipes. The father is killed in an appropriately gruesome manner, the girl's friends show up, and they are all trapped in the house after their car sinks and vanishes into the front yard. When they try to exorcize the demons, with the help of a mysterious old man, the procedure goes wrong and many of the creatures materialize, from creepy skull-head spiders and giant worms to a dragon-like being. Although the animatronic and stop motion effects are superb some of the computer special effects (posterizing and warping) cheapens the effect.
