This is a tamer version of FRINGE, the first episode honing in on America's irrational fear of cloning (what, you haven't seen a twin?). The main character, Jacob Hood (Rufus Sewell of DARK CITY) is a consultant for the CIA and has a hot bodyguard in the form of Marley Shelton (GRINDHOUSE, SIN CITY).
When he confronts the billionaire father who is trying to clone his dead son, he says that in the nineteen failed attempts he's been killing his son over and over again, yet in the same scene says that it would never be his son, as the soul goes beyond DNA. It's a bit preachy and a bit of sloppy writing. I haven't seen the original British version of the show so I can't yet compare it to that. But I will still tune in as long as Marley Shelton is on it...
