Although this alien/sci-fi/cop movie has a good cast (Eric Roberts (CARNOSAUR 4, WOLVES OF WALL STREET), John Rhys-Davies (LORD OF THE RINGS), Arnold Vosloo (THE MUMMY, DARK MAN 2 & 3) & Tony Lo Bianco (GOD TOLD ME TO), everything else about it is bad.During the title sequence there's stock footage of near-extinct animals, finally ending on a shot of a Tyrannosaurus (well, that is extinct) biting at the camera. Then, 'Warden' (Vosloo) wakes up from a sleep. Later, after he's taken in by police as a suspect, they inspect his leather jacket and say it's not identifiable as from any animal. Presumably, it was made from the skin of the Tyrannosaur. There's a serial killer on the loose (yes, another one) and he's after physically perfect human specimens. When he kills them he shoots them in the eye as to not damage the skin. This is basically an alien poacher and it's up to Warden to stop him from killing the humans. In the end the killer tears off his human mask and reveals himself to be a 'Gray' type of alien. The makeup for this-and throughout the movie-is not very good. It's no big surprise to anybody when it's revealed that Earth is a protected reserve and humans a protected species. There's elements from John Carpenter's THEY LIVE (with the sunglasses), WITHOUT WARNING & PREDATOR (with an alien hunting humans for sport), along with some of the worst 'clever' dialogue I've heard in a long while. In fact, I can't even believe this is a Kevin S. Tenney movie as I've enjoyed his earlier work (WITCHBOARD et cetera).
