A nerd moves into the apartment with a bunch of pot-heads, just in time for them to get a special delivery of a giant bong. Each time one of them uses it the bong takes their soul - and they are sent to this weird dimension that looks suspiciously like a strip club, complete with the strippers. Here, we have cameos of THE GINGERDEAD MAN and also Jack Deth himself (Tim Thomerson). The special effects are so-so and the living bong, while it has a woman's face and talks, doesn't move its lips. I particularly like the editing transitions between scenes, with all the marijuana leaves (edited by Danny Draven). Robin Syndney, also in Charles Band's GINGERDEAD MAN and DEAD MAN'S HAND gives completely different performance here as a stoned out party girl.
Tommy Chong is hilarious and it's worth seeing the movie for his appearance alone. This is a goofy movie but it has some hilarious dialogue and is remarkably funny.
