A young Asian woman named Joey Chow tries to kill herself with pills after her boyfriend breaks up with her. She does this in a hotel room and sees a room filled with people before she loses consciousness. Though she doesn't realize it at the time these are the dead. They are these hazy, blurred forms. After she is released from the hospital she makes her way back to that hotel and sees that a group of Buddhists are performing some type of ritual. When she asks the desk manager what it's for, he says it's to get rid of the spirits that were drawn to the suicide attempt. She soon finds out that she is pregnant and isn't sure if she wants to keep the child or not, though supernatural forces want her to keep it.The only connection this has to the first EYE movies is that it deals with ghosts, although it does so in a completely different way. THE EYE 2 is an interesting movie and presents the concept of Reincarnation in a way I've never seen filmed before. Recommended.Directed by the Pang Brothers.
