A yuppie couple, Linda and Jerry, buy an old house on Devlin Island, which is about forty minutes away from Boston. But part of the deal is that they allow the original owner, an old lady, to live in the guest house. Linda keeps on seeing a strange old man in the attic window of the next door house and disturbing things happen, like the death of her dog and best friend (Woody Harrelson). Linda (Pamela Sue Martin) eventually discovers that the inhabitants of the island are really witches who sold their soul to the devil in 1722-and that they're recruiting a new member, namely Jerry (Tim Matheson). As devil worshipper movies go this is just okay, rather predictable. This movie was originally released on television as BAY COVEN.
