The directorial debut of Brian Metcalf revolves around teenager Sarah, who doesn't get along with her bitchy mother (Elaine Hendricks). Then, one day, zombies with black eyes begin appearing. Sarah and her friend are attacked and a guy named Jacob shows up to rescue her. It's a good thing he has a big sword. The friend is not so fortunate. It turns out this evil plaguing the land is because of a magician named Mathias (Brad Dourif). He's after a magical necklace that Sarah's dead uncle had found in his old house. They flee across the countryside pursued by the possessed/zombie people. Sarah has to come to terms with her anger towards her mother and Jacob has to confront his past, when his parents were slaughtered.
I wanted to like this movie but I didn't. The acting and dialogue is too wooden and Brad Dourif seems like he's portraying a caricature. The story just did not grab me.
