This fourth FINAL DESTINATION movie has everything you've come to expect in the franchise. A group of friends are at the local race car track and one of them has a premonition that there's a horrible crash, which goes into the crowd and kills over fifty people. He's able to get his girlfriend and two friends out, along with a security guard, a redneck, an automotive guy and a woman who has two kids. Then these people begin to die in horrible ways, in the order in which they died in his premonition. He thinks that if he can prevent a death then this would break the chain and they'd all live happily ever after. Of course, that doesn't happen. I found myself cringing in anticipation a few times.
A few of the deaths even surprised me.
This may be the best use of 3-D I've yet seen in a horror movie, with all the various deadly projectiles. They also do this x-ray type effect that shows the people's skeletons and what happens to them in the accidents. It's actually more effective than showing a makeup effect. Highly recommended.
