Despite the somewhat goofy title, this is a kick-ass zombie movie. A group of scientists are transporting a secret experiment on a Concord. It's a metal container that contains the frozen body of one of their fellow scientists who was exposed to a new type of virus that reanimates dead tissue. The plane goes through a lightning storm, the container opens and she awakens, appearing human, only to be gunned down by the guard in the luggage compartment. She immediately comes back as a ferocious, fast, yellow-eyed zombie and quickly starts infecting other people on the plane.
The plane is only a quarter filled and so there's plenty of room for everyone to move around and try hiding from the fast-moving zombies. There are some good characters here, particularly a prisoner and his chaperone, and a golf pro who has this really bitchy wife.
FLIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD is one of the best zombie movies in recent years. This movie is all that SNAKES ON A PLANE wasn't.
