"Flower & Snake" is some truly exceptional, high-quality sleaze with a dramatic and creative 'flair'. It's actually a remake of a 1974 Nikkatsu pinku flick of the same name and based on the fetish novel by Oniroku Dan.
A world famous tango dancer is sold into sexual slavery by her husband - a business man who is in some serious debt with the Yakuza. She is stripped and put on display for an audience of masked sickos who take immense pleasure in watching her being subjected to all kinds of humiliation and abuse. Her torture is also being transmitted, via close-circuit cameras to the pervy 95 year old mob boss...
The film takes about 45 minutes or so of set-up and then the sexy S/M marathon stays constant. The illustrious Aya Sugimoto stays naked and strung up in all kinds of crazy positions for the bulk of her screen time, which certainly held my attention. She is raped, forced to piss on a couple of dudes wearing masquerade dick-nose masks, whipped, mounted on a horse (?) and much more. Fortunately, the Japanese have lightened up a bit with their derisive censorship which allows for a bit more 'full' nudity and muff shots in this one. Definitely a plus considering it's a country that produces some of the finest in sado-erotic material. Aside from the bondage and hot naked chicks, "Flower & Snake" contains a very entertaining and solid plot to go along with it. In all, this one may be a little "rough" for some of the more "casual" viewers, though anyone who enjoys S/M-themed pinku flicks must check out "Flower & Snake".
