The production values, acting and stories improve from the first season. The episodes also delve in to the relationship of the trio of vampires - Knight, Lacroix and Janette. Lacroix's origin happens during the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in Pompeii and he was 'brought over' by his young daughter. In the first season Lacroix always seemed like a gay vampire (not that there's anything wrong with that) and in the second season he's leaner and meaner. One episode even shows how he had fallen in love with Nick's sister back in the Middle Ages. When Nick transforms his eyes glow a red color, while in the first season they were solely light green contact lenses). Also, the flying effects are much better. We're even introduced to a vampire hunter, which I wish they utilized more. The last two episodes are directed by Geraint Wyn-Davies and John Kapelos.
