This film has a premise that has been done in the past... but was still original enough to keep my attention. We have a mother who is unable to let the grief of losing her son go. Her husband and her therapist are not able to reach her as she appears to be spiraling into some unhealthy areas of mental health. Little by little, the memory of her son is slipping away from everyone but her.. as if she never had a child. She meets up with a father who lost his child at the same time and embarks on a strange and unsettling journey. The movie drags for a while, but then kicks into gear when we find out just what is happening to these people that some say never existed. The experiment is revealed and it leaves you wondering what is real and what isn't. This is not the best movie of the year by any means, but not a bad one either. A good rainy day rental.
