Randy Coogan (Alex Winter of LOST BOYS, BILL & TED'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE) is a former child star who is hired to represent a chemical called Zygrote 24. He goes down to Mexico with a friend and falls for a beautiful woman, Julie (Megan Ward) who is protesting that company he's working for. They all end up going to a nearby freakshow run by Elijah C. Skuggs (Randy Quaid). He not only runs this exploitive business, he creates them with the very same substance Coogan was hired to represent. Julie and his friend are turned into siamese twins and half of Coogan looks like a giant Gremlin.
They also meet the other prisoners, which include The Bearded Lady (Mr. T!), a worm guy, a guy who farts flames, a creature with a sock puppet head and Ortiz, the dog boy (definitely one of Keanu Reeve's best performances in ANY movie).
It's a crazy, over-the-top movie that's highly entertaining. What really makes it are the effects by Screaming Mad George (GUYVER). Star Alex Winter also co-directed.
