This is a very cool vampire movie that begins during WWII, with a group of soldiers stumbling across some vampires in a cabin.
Then we go to a town in present day Sweden, which is experiencing the winter night. A doctor named Annika has just moved there with her daughter. She's working at the hospital with a noted geneticist. However, this guy is up to no good because he's creating some type of experimental vaccine that is really a way to spread the vampirism disease. Some teenagers steal some of these pills and take them to a party--a party which Annika's daughter is attending. Soon, everyone who drinks the spiked punch starts transforming into bloodsuckers.
Some of the situations are funny, such as a vampire being staked with a garden gnome, though the movie is not an outright comedy. Think of it as a lighter version of 30 DAYS OF NIGHT.
