A meteor crash lands in a secluded part of Los Angeles, killing and resurrecting a group of homeless people who converge on a warehouse where the members of two rival gangs are doing a deal. Their supplier is Reggie Bannister (THE RAGE) and what he's supplying is later revealed as a big plot point. However, as with most recent horror movies, this is all but a cameo for Bannister, who should really be headlining a movie.
Anyways, it's THE NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD scenario as some new survivors are introduced, such as the local weatherman, who has taken a wrong turn, and the cops who were on a stakeout at the warehouse. The zombies are nasty looking and slow moving for a change. The ending is predictable enough (more meteors!) but the movie is entertaining and worth checking out, particularly if you're a fan of the zombie genre.
