Although undeniably better that the recent American version, this new Godzilla movie is slightly disappointing, primarily because you don't see the Big G enough. The majority of the screen time revolves around the finding of a strange giant rock on the ocean floor, which later turns out to be a living spaceship, and on the efforts of a man whose job it is to track Godzilla and the stereotypical reporter that follows his search. When ORGA, Godzilla's foe finally shows up, he's rather cumbersome looking and the battle lacks the energy of previous Godzilla battles. The new Godzilla does look cool, though, more streamlined with larger spikes on his back, a cobra-like neck and many more teeth, like a crocodile-and he's green! It just wish the story was up to par with the effects.
