Goke's a decent Japanese sci-fi horror film, relying more on story than FX. A group of travelers suffer through a plain crash only to find out there's far worse in store for them in the lovely locale they've been lucky enough to set down in. A weird looking pile of alien crap is out to possess their bodies. Once inside a person, they soon become a vampire out to kill and possess other people. This film works well most of the time and has a few creepy moments. If you liked Attack of the Mushroom people, then Goke is gonna be your kinda thing. Watching how the different people in the group react to their predicament and to the others once the paranoia starts proves be interesting and fun. It's hard for them to tell who's been snatched until it's almost too late many times. I guess the moral here is don't trust anyone. I'm still trying to figure out what opening that slimy thing used to get inside the body, maybe the world is better off not knowing and some things really are better left off camera!
