A.K.A. Ghost Hunters, Inc. Presents: The Graveyard Shift. The world of Ghost Hunting seems to be growing in popularity with many television specials, the GhostHunters Sci-Fi channel show, and a couple direct to video documentaries. Ghost Hunters, Inc. Presents: The Graveyard Shift is by far the funniest of them all.Shot in the spring of 2003, this Docu-Comedy details three days in the lives an out-of-control paranormal research group from Pennsylvannia. Showing a first hand look of the group's night time exploits with three of Pennsylvania's, supposedly, most haunted locations.Though obviously scripted and directed, the night time shenanigans of the Ghost Hunters, Inc (GHI) are still pretty entertaining. The investigations side of this Docu-Comedy leave a little bit to be desired. This reviewer, for one, is interested in the paranormal and have researched how to do a investigation correctly. GHI, at least they tried, were not that scientific, rational of ways to explain what they think is ghost activity, their technology was just lacking, and they were disrespectful towards the locations they visited and disrespectful to the dead. Ironically, this disrespect leads to a few funny moments.Overall this is a good watch for its comedy side. For its ghost hunting side it needs not to be taken as a way to go about doing investigations. I recommend this film as long as its not taken seriously.
