An ethnically and economically diverse group of youths, guilty of misdemeanors, are sent to a rural nature park to do community service. The head guy, Ranger Bob, has them hike a few days to a secluded cabin, where they are then attacked by a huge Grizzly bear. But why is the bear attacking them? Could it be that the serial killer who escaped and is posing as their driver angered it when he stabbed it with a knife?
Although I've seen this scenario countless times the script has a good sense of humor to it and twists around some of the characters. I particularly liked Glenn Morshower as the sarcastic Ranger Bob, Emily Foxler as the not-so-bright Bebe and Shedrack Anderson III (see his interview in 2008) as the technoid. It also has a good tag-line..."It's gonna be a bear".
