This labor of love from writer/director Jerry O'Sullivan and producer Ron Bonk is a wicked homage to Sam Raimi's EVIL DEAD. If you liked Raimi's flick, chances are you'll love this flick!A hunter accidentally murders someone in the woods and instead of calling the cops he buries the body. Coming back the next year for his usual outing with some friends, the victim exacts revenge...in the form of a possessed scarecrow!Producer Bonk plays the sarcastic comic relief role, and the scene where a shed is blown up is priceless! His comments are a riot! The gore is great and the camerawork is spectacular. I love those 'whipping through the woods' scenes!Stylistic and fun, if you're a fan of EVIL DEAD, you won't want to miss this film. It was a pleasure to watch! As a bonus there's a great featurette after the flick with interviews and film clips. The dedication to the genre these filmmakers have is incredible! Obviously, their hearts are in the right place!
