Doctor Lecter is on the loose in this sequel to SILENCE OF THE LAMBS that garnered mixed reviews from fans and critics.Don't know why, because I wholeheartedly LOVED this movie and the book it came from and recommend it highly.Clarice Starling (played here by the very sexy Julianne Moore) is still hot on Lecter's trail while attempting to get out of hot water from a shooting gone bad while on the job.Meanwhile, Lecter, living the high life in Italy, is pursued by a former victim that survived his wrath years ago. This scarred and nearly paralyzed character, played by Gary Oldman, is evil incarnate. There's crooked cops, setups, payoffs, and the reunion between Starling and Lecter that we all waited ten years to see...HANNIBAL is over-the-top in every department, including the gore. The scene where Hannibal 'eats a man while he's still alive' is still one that's talked about in all circles. The ending was a winner too, and I won't give it away here, even if you have seen the movie. Hopkins seized the role of Lecter with zeal, and he is actually a likable guy in the movie compared to all the other people we meet. All I can say about HANNIBAL is that it delivered on every level imaginable and I have no complaints about any of it whatsoever. So see it, see it again, and ENJOY!I hope we see Lecter again, post-Hannibal. ENCORE! ENCORE!
