In this exceedingly boring made-for-tv haunted house movie, Patty Duke (AMITYVILLE: THE EVIL ESCAPES) and David Selby (DARK SHADOWS, RAISE THE TITANIC) are haunted by the ghosts from the old African-American cemetery their new house is built on. This is out in Texas or Arizona. Their toilet upstairs keeps on flushing, they see shadows, their pet birds are eaten by cockroaches and their cat has malformed kittens. The movie spans a few years and in that time they adopt their grand-daughter from their daughter, who has other things to do, and their other daughter develops cancer-and later on a heart ailment, which ends up killing her. It's never explained why these ghosts are angry, other than that their resting place has been disturbed.David Soul (STARSKY & HUTCH) is the neighbor, who is reluctant to admit anything weird is going on, even after the crew digging a hole for his new pool uncovers two old bodies. At the end of the movie there is a paragraph that states that all five families moved and lost all their money on the houses, so I'm assuming this movie is based on a real-life story. Too bad they couldn't make it more interesting.
