A superior psychological horror movie that starts off on a great note and remains interesting through to the end. In the intro, a disheveled father (director Larry Fesenden (WENDIGO)) takes his two sons away from their seemingly possessed mother (Sean Young) and shoots half of her head off with a rifle. We skip a dozen years to later to a young man living in New York City who suffers from migraines and has terrible nightmares, visions which soon become reality. Although both he and his brother were intentionally separated when they were put up for adoption by their father, they end up meeting each other by chance-and their combined mental powers open up a gate for these gargoyle-like creatures to materialize-and kill.
HEAD SPACE surprised me, as the dvd artwork and title are so generic looking. But
any movie that blows off actress Sean Young's head within the first five minutes gets an "A" from me.
