The latest in the 'Killer Clown' sub-genre, about a woman who is tracking this creature, called a HELLBREEDER, as it slays children across the country (presumably Australia as most everyone has Australian accents). But is the killer really an ordinary drifter and she's making up the clown in her mind? Years before, her own son was slain-and her husband and in-laws blamed her for being irresponsible in taking a walk 11:30 at night, when the murder happened. Now she somehow has a psychic link to the killings that are recurring. The only name actor in this is Dominique Pinot (DELICATESSEN, ALIEN: RESURRECTION), who portrays a police detective investigating the murders. My problem with this, as was my problem with MARDIS GRAS FOR THE DEVIL, is that the good guys should never be homelier than the bad guys. Also, the demonic looking clown footage in the intro scene seems to be added on after the movie was finished, since the clown in the woman's flashbacks is all too human, and not very threatening looking. The movie is in great need of color correction-every shot is a different color of yellow (except for that demon clown footage)-and in some scenes you can actually see the color change around as if they were messing with it while transferring the film to tape. With an ambiguous ending and not very engaging characters I can't say that I recommend this movie.
