This sequel is slightly better than the original, but that is much like saying that a rash is slightly better than hemorrhoids. Neither one is desirable... but both are a pain in the ass. That may be a little harsh... but if you have seen either one of these stinkers... you will understand. This one revolves around a college campus, where an outbreak of zombieizm is running wild, apparently brought on by a virus. A less than elite team of scientists and special forces soldiers are sent in to extract a blood sample from the original zombie so that a cure can be created. The supposed catch is that they have to get out soon, because the college will be destroyed by missile fire the next morning. House of the Dead 2 bordered on cheesy, but not the kindof cheese you can dig... rather one of those stinky kinds of cheese. The script was bad, the acting was bad, etc, etc. Not even nudity and a bit part by Sid Haig could save this one. Granted there was a good amount of blood and gore, but most of the scenes were so stupid, that you didn't even care. Again, this was better than the first in the series, but still probably not worth viewing.
