This DVD consists of two 40 minute animated stories. The first is HULK VS. THOR, which takes place almost entirely in Asgard. Loki and the Enchantress kidnap Bruce Banner and then manage to separate him from The Hulk. Then, the put a spell on the Hulk so that Loki can control him like a puppet. Loki plans to kill Thor and wreak havoc on Asgaard while Odin is hibernating. However, The Hulk soon breaks Loki's control, fights Thor and almost kills him but the Enchantress changes her mind and heals him so he doesn't die. However, Loki had killed Banner so he and Thor join forces to go to Hell and retrieve his soul because that's the only way they can get rid of the Hulk before he destroys Aasgard.
This is interesting as I've never seen a cartoon that's devoted so much time to Marvel's Aasgard. The one thing I didn't like is that they give the Hulk red eyes, which simply doesn't work. He's green. All green (well, except for the pants).
HULK vs. WOLVERINE chronicles the first meeting between those two characters and also manages to re-tell Wolverine's origin story. Logan is very much the main character here. The HULK is more talkative than in the previous cartoon and seems proportionally larger, though that may be because Wolverine is so short. The story also has a good sense of humor about it, particularly those one-liners from Deadpool.
