No horror film here, instead this is a fun & slightly bloody wrestling movie focusing on one of the great heels ever, The Sheik. The former Untied States heavy weight champion bloodied and burned nearly all the big names in the business in years past. If you live in the Detroit area, are a wrestling fan, and are over 30 you probably went to see the madman from Syria sometime in your life. Fans in general are sure to cringe at the thought of their heroes facing The Sheik. In this movie, we get to see Dusty Rhodes get a nice gash carved into his arm. A few others are lucky enough to catch a fireball to the face, something The Sheik originated and was the master of. Of course a group of dimwits are pushing for the S.T.S. (stop the sheik) movement at every arena we see here on film. Strange how the leader of the S.T.S. disappears at the end of the film. Once one of the most feared men in the sport, I doubt any of the jump on the band wagon fans of today will recognize the name. Was he influential? You tell me. He's Sabu's uncle and trained both Sabu and Rob Van Dam early in their careers. The lack luster heels of today should take notes from an original. If you like old school, this film will entertain you.
