I did not like this movie one bit. Sure, it's ultra-violent and the gore effects extremely over-the-top, reminding me of THE STORY OF RICKY-O, but the film is so unpleasant to watch I felt I was sado-masochistic in viewing it. It deals with a some rival gangs, the overly-pierced man who takes them over and a VERY disturbed killer named Ichi, who kills with these blades that come out of his shoes. He leaves a big mess of body parts in his wake. Everyone ends up killing each other, though after a time of this you really don't care. It's too much and not entertaining.
