This is yet another creepy Japanese horror film, this time about a weird type of virus that is infecting the staff of a small hospital. The hospital is understaffed and under supplied, so that when an ambulance rushes in with a victim being consumed by some kind of virus, the staffs' immediate reaction is to turn them away. So the ambulance leaves the body behind for the over-worked doctors to deal with. Soon, the body dissolves into a puddle of ooze-and then both patients and hospital workers start to become infected. INFECTION is heavy on mood and suspense, though I thought the story started to disintegrate towards the end. Still, it's a horror film worth checking out.
