According to the DVD box this Chinese movie is an homage to THE SIXTH SENSE-though it's actually some much different. The film starts out as a ghost story, with a young woman seeing frightening apparitions wherever she goes. There are some creepy images here. Then, she's pressured into seeing a psychiatrist by her cousin and that's when the movie totally falls apart. It's yet another movie where the writers know absolutely nothing about the mental health profession. The psychiatrist even sleeps with his patient as if it's normal-and doing that is the ultimate taboo for that profession. It turns out that all the ghosts were just her brain's way of coping with things. The Dr. also starts having weird visions, due to stress and dependence on drugs. This movie isn't a horror movie at all-it's a melodrama.
