This newest movie from filmmaker John Johnson (SHADOW HUNTERS) is a hilarious horror comedy that had me laughing throughout. The story concerns a tabloid reporter (John Johnson) and his Indian (from India) sidekick photographer, Cornelius, who are sent to investigate the reports of a five-legged, two-headed goat in the town of Nilbog. What the duo find instead are zombies - lots of zombies. There is also a weird spider lady (Brinke Stevens), an obese witch, and a vampiress (Debbie Rochon) among other supernatural creatures.
Comedy is much harder to do than horror and Johnson is consistently funny here, particularly in a scene where an invisible devil is throwing him around a room and another in which he breaks out into a cheesy, VH1 type song to his girlfriend.
The zombie makeup effects are quite good and I was impressed with the logistics of the movie - having swarms of zombies chasing the characters down abandoned town streets, across the country.
This is a fun, entertaining movie. Highly recommended. Check out www.darkstone-ent.com for more info.
