) Paint-by-the numbers made for cable (PAX) movie about African Killer bees killing people in a small Washington State town. Each year beekeepers from across the country bring in their bees to help polinate crops, only this time a keeper from down in Mexico has accidently brought some of the ferocious insects with him.An extremely weary and worn looking C. Thomas Howell is the reluctant sheriff (who is terrified of bees) and Tracy Nelson is his estranged wife. There's also a bee expert who also happens to have MS (which is actually portrayed in a realistic way, for once). Although the script is familiar, the characters are likeable and the hour and a half passes quickly. The computer effects of the bees is really really bad, though, making the effects in THE SWARM look like JURASSIC PARK quality.
